i went to church on sunday, finally. it wasn't as bad as i'd thought it would be, though there were some embarrassing moments. like the time this girl who looked like zhang ziyi said something like hey jeremy welcome back and i was so embarrassed and i didn't know what to do so i just ignored her. i'm still beating myself up for that. but other than that, it was good. i saw some of my friends, rachel said hi to me. priscilla too.
we spent most of the day after service going to get bubble tea and playing grand theft auto. at 4, there was the christmas service thing, which was okay. then we went home..
monday was AWESOME. first thing in the morning (well at 9.30), i went over to jonathan's house, then we hung out for like 2 hours then we went to the gun range. it was pretty small, only 16 lanes. and the targets go back only about 50 or so feet. but i didn't care; it's a gun range. back at the house, jonathan's dad had showed me how to use his glock 19, smith and wesson .22, and his .22 rifle so i mostly knew what to do. i started with the .22 rifle, which was freaking fun. .22's don't recoil much, just enough to let you know you're shooting a real gun. jonathan's dad must have brought 2000 rounds of assorted ammo, so i was shooting for a while. then i switched to the .22 smith and wesson. that was even more fun, i shot like 200 rounds total on the pistol. then, with 10 minutes left to go, jonathan's dad let me try the glock. the glock was definitely the coolest gun there. it just looked so.. sexy. plus, it was 9mm, which was almost twice the size of a .22. i loaded it up, took aim, pulled the trigger. the gunshot was loud enough i felt vibrations through my mufflers, and the recoil kicked my arm up about 2 feet. i was like, WOW. after 4 shots, i looked at my hand and i saw the imprints of the grip on it. that gun was POWERFUL. i shot 2 10-round magazines through it, then we had to go.
we went to pick up jonathan's sister, serena at her school. when she opened the trunk to put her bag in, and we were all like, NO close the trunk! imagine what a kid would think if he saw a car with a trunk-full of guns parked outside his school. anyway nobody noticed, so it was good. i went to in and out burger, it was AWESOME. too bad singapore doesn't have fast food like that.
after that we went home to pick up the paintball stuff, then we went to hollywood sports, where the paintball field was. after the briefing and all that, we got to play. i was pretty scared most of the time, i didn't run much. after one round serena wanted to play too, so i stuck around her and watched out for her. not good enough though-she got shot once. oh well, we're playing it again, so next time i'll move my ass more. but it was fun, everyone's pretty friendly and stuff.
AND, when i got back to their place, my guitar had arrived. cool right? nope. THEY FORGOT MY FUCKING AMP. sigh. guess i'll have to wait some more. but i had an awesome day.
