i just realized how my music taste has changed. when i was in primary school, everyone listened to nsync, backstreet boys, and the rest of the pop bands that were popular. i didn't listen to music much then, the most music i heard was from my mom's piano. then, in sec 1, darren intro-ed me to eminem. i'd heard of eminem, but what i heard wasn't good. i'd heard the song 'superman' on the radio though, and i thought it was the shit, so i got into eminem after darren burned a couple of cd's for me. and with eminem, you get 50 cent, g-unit, the notorious b.i.g., 2pac, the rest of the rap giants. then i heard the song 'ghostwriter' by rjd2, so i got into underground rap; jean grae, the roots.. or maybe rap that wasn't mainstream. after that, it was gorillaz type bands; cool beats were the keyword. this was all in a year. then, around the middle of sec 2, i downloaded 'chapter four' by avenged sevenfold, after hearing it while i was playing nhl 2004. i'd heard it a million times before, but this time it sounded special. i dunno why. anyway, i downloaded it and i got hooked into metal. vishnu intro-ed me to one of my favorite bands, slipknot, and seether. so it was metal, circa july 2006. now i'm into bands like franz ferdinand, head automatica, etc. and metal. i guess it helps that i'm learning electric guitar; if i hear a nice song, i can play it if i have the effects and the will to practise.

anyway, that was just a bit on my weird music taste. i still like rap, but not as much as before. i heard eminem's making a new album, i'll be waiting on that.

today was kinda fun. we had to take stupid individual pictures, but i don't really care. i just gave the camera a dirty look. i hate taking pictures, for obvious reasons. and it ate into pure lit class. i love pure lit, mostly because i get to argue with the teacher, and because the girl to boy ratio is 4 to 1. me, remy, isaac, and 12 other girls. what could be better? after that, mother tongue, which was boring as hell, and chapel, which was worse. the reverend made us say some pledge to keep chapel time holy. which was ludicrous because the teachers behind us, miss oon and this other teacher were snickering the whole time.

i had training after school. which was kinda pointless. what's the point of training in school, i always ask myself. safra is tons of times better. ros seems to think that forcing me to shoot 30 shots every other 2 hours is going to help me. once again, AM I THE ONLY MOTHERFUCKER WITH A FUCKING BRAIN? dammit. i need to start training at safra again.

the weather these few days has been nice. i love rain; it makes everything cooler and wetter. a respite from all the hot weather we get here in singapore. and, my friend just emailed me these picures.
